Tour Plan

Day 1: meeting and greeting at Aswan and embarkation in the cruise ship at Lake Nasser.

Meeting and greetings (at the airport or at the Aswan train station) and transfer to the boat on Lake Nasser.

Installation, welcome cocktail and lunch on board.

At the beginning of the afternoon, departure for the visit of the site of Philae dedicated to the goddess Isis, mother of Horus and wife of Osiris. Threatened to be submerged during the construction of the high dam, this temple was moved block by block during the 1980s.

Day 2: Aswan – Wadi El-Seboua

After breakfast on board, departure by motorboat to the site of Kalabsha , former religious center of the Blemmyes tribe, located upstream of the high dam, on the shores of Lake Nasser . The Nubian god Mandoulis was worshiped there.
Just next to visit “Beit El-Wali” temple carved into the rock, built under the reign of King Ramses II.
Visit the Kiosk of Kertassi , a smaller version of Trajan’s kiosk at Philae.

Lunch on board and start of navigation to Wadi El-Seboua.

Afternoon of relaxation on the upper deck of the boat around the swimming pool enjoying the navigation and the landscape of Lake Nasser.

At the end of the afternoon, tea service on the upper deck of the boat.

Day 3: Wadi El-Seboua – Amada

Breakfast on board and departure for the visit of the site of Wadi El-Seboua “the valley of the lions in French”.
This vast site made up of two temples and chapels takes its name from the alley of the “lion-headed” sphinxes which led to the entrance of the main temple of the site, built during the reign of Ramses II.

Visit of the temple of Dakka, dedicated to the god Thoth.
Visit the temple of Maharaka , a small temple dating from Roman times and in which is the only known spiral staircase of all pharaonic architecture.

Lunch on board and navigation to the Amada site.

Day 4: Amada – Kasr Ibrim – Abu Simbel

Day 6: Kom ombo - Edfu - Luxor

Breakfast at the hotel and early departure to Luxor.

Kom Ombo (about 45 km north of Aswan): The only temple in Egypt devoted to two different deities: HORUS (the falcon) and SOBEK (the crocodile). It is renowned for its famous scenes such as that of the Pharaonic calendar and that of their surgical instruments.

Edfu (about 75 km north of kom ombo): A site that dates back to Greek times. It is among the most well preserved historical sites in Egypt because it remained buried for a long time under sand and dwellings. It was discovered in 1855 by the French archaeologist Auguste Mariette. It is dedicated to the god HORUS (the falcon

Day 7: West Bank of Luxor – Karnak Temple

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the visit of the Theban necropolis , located on the west bank of Luxor, in a desert setting.
Visit the Valley of the Kings which contains the tombs of the great pharaohs of Egypt.
Visit the queen Hatshepsut temple , the queen who became pharaoh.
Visits to the Colossi of Memnon, each 17m high, guardians of the almost disappeared temple of King Amenophis III, the father of the famous King Akhenaten.

In the middle of the afternoon, visit Karnak temple: the largest historical site in Egypt built on approximately sixty hectares over sixteen centuries. It is considered the archive of the history of the pharaohs. Dedicated to the god Amon, it is unique in the world in its kind with facades, columns, statues and obelisks of pharaonic dimensions…!
