Overview

• The construction of the Aswan High Dam in 1971, one of the largest in the world, is at the origin of Lake Nasser which extends over 500 km in length and 10 km in width on average. All the sites visited on this cruise were saved from the rising waters of the Nile thanks to a displacement program under the aegis of UNESCO.
• In less than 20 years, 14 “pharaonic” building sites have enabled the magnificent ancient temples to avoid being swallowed up forever.
• The first cruise on Lake Nasser was made in 1981, at present only a few boats offer cruises to discover these saved sites and give this trip an exclusive character. “The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism then undertook not to exceed the number of six boats on the Lake so as not to trivialize it through mass tourism”
• You will be able to enjoy the various sites in complete peace of mind, in particular that of Abu Simbel, which you will discover both day and night.
